The prime minister of the United Kingdom has received a hearty welcome from Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In the meantime, the biggest-ever UK trade delegation is traveling with H.E. Keir Starmer on his historic first trip to India.

On a trade mission to India, Prime Minister Starmer will be accompanied by 125 of the UK's most well-known CEOs, elite businesspeople, university vice chancellors, and cultural organizations. They are visiting Mumbai on a two-day trade mission. Major household names such as British Telecom, Diageo, Rolls-Royce, London Stock Exchange Group, and British Airways are joining the Prime Minister’s delegation.

Prime Minister Starmer promises to secure opportunities for these companies to grow and expand into the Indian market. It will also deliver growth and support jobs at home. However, the British prime minister will have to strike a compromise between the UK's growing anti-immigrant stance and India's demand for more visas.
