On September 17, a star-studded lineup of 69 celebrities—including Cillian Murphy, Billie Eilish, Joaquin Phoenix, and Florence Pugh—came together for the Together For Palestine benefit concert in London. The event raised funds for humanitarian relief in Gaza, with all ticket proceeds directed through the UK charity Choose Love to local organizations such as the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, and Taawon.
The concert followed recent shows of solidarity at the Emmy Awards, where actors Javier Bardem and Hannah Einbinder voiced support for Gaza. At the same time, Israel continued to intensify military operations in Gaza City, with tanks massed on its outskirts and officials confirming an expanded ground assault on September 16, supported by satellite imagery.
Performances in London included PinkPantheress, Bastille, and Palestinian artists Saint Levant and Elyanna. Actress Jameela Jamil announced that the evening raised £1.5 million, including around £500,000 from ticket sales. A standout moment came when Neneh Cherry joined Greentea Peng for a performance of Seven Seconds, which drew the loudest applause of the night.
