Denmark’s airports were disrupted by drone activity, forcing temporary closures. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said she could not rule out the possibility that Russia was behind the incident. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen described the “hybrid attack” as part of a “systematic operation” during a press conference.
On September 22, drone sightings led to a temporary shutdown of Copenhagen Airport. Two days later, on the evening of September 24, green lights spotted overhead caused Aalborg and Billund airports to close for several hours.
Danish authorities said the drones appeared to be operated by a professional actor, noting that similar incidents had disrupted the country’s airspace within the same week. However, they emphasized that there was no evidence directly linking Russia to the attacks.
