Air India Flight AI171 to London Crashes in Ahmedabad

Shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, an Air India flight bound for London crashed. The plane crashed near Meghani. It left behind a black smoke plume that could be seen for kilometers. Rescue personnel have hurried to the location.

 

On June 12, less than 60 seconds after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed into a residential area. The cause of the incident and the number of casualties have not yet been officially confirmed.

 

Two pilots, ten cabin crew members, and 230 passengers made up the 242 individuals on board the aircraft, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Only one of the plane's passengers, a British male, was eventually found to have survived.
