Rescuers in Indonesia are searching for a Brazilian tourist, Juliana Marins, 26, who fell while trekking with five other tourists and a guide near the crater of Mount Rinjani. Located on the island of Lombok, Mount Rinjani is Indonesia's second-highest volcano.

Marins, a dancer and publicist from Niterói, near Rio de Janeiro, began her summit attempt on June 21. The volcano, an active one, rises to 3,726 meters (12,224 feet). Tragically, Marins fell 600 meters (1,968 feet) off a cliff.

The evacuation was delayed due to challenging conditions, limited visibility, and harsh terrain and weather. After four days of intense searching, the Indonesian rescue team located Marins' body near a crater using a thermal drone. Unfortunately, there were no signs of life.

The team then carried her body back to the Sembalun basecamp. Due to logistical challenges, they had to wait until June 25 to transport her to a police hospital. Her family in Brazil has since confirmed her death.
