On July 19, La Roja won the World Cup for the second time. La Roja players joyfully embraced on the grounds of New York New Jersey Stadium. The celebration on the streets reverberated across villages and cities around Spain.

On their road to the World Cup final, this team enchanted the world with their beautiful, dominant style of soccer and stymied opponents. There, the team faced an opponent who tried to disrupt Spain's beauty and flow with a harsh, physical game. La Roja scored a thrilling extra-time goal to win the World Cup trophy despite some controversy during the game.

Spain won its second-ever men's World Cup after the final whistle blew. Ferran Torres, the replacement who scored the game-winning goal in extra time. Lamine Yamal, who is currently the third-youngest player to start in a World Cup final (and win it), and Nico Williams, who helped Torres win. The fourth-youngest player to start and win a final is Yamal's teammate Pau Cubarsí, who was awarded the World Cup's best young player. The vigorous defender with the enormously curly hair is Marc Cucurella. The Spanish captain and lynchpin, Rodri, Men’s Ballon d'Or winner, took home the Golden Ball for outstanding player of the tournament.
