21 Feb 2017

speakers: Rowan de Vries (MIT), Frank Lind (Haystack), Mary Knapp (MIT visiting graduate student, MIT)
Date: Thursday, February 23, 3:00pm
Location: Marlar Lounge 37-252

The Radio Array of Portable Interferometric Detectors (RAPID) is a novel modular instrument for conducting a wide range of radio interferometry experiments. This talk and demonstration will highlight the capabilities of RAPID, describe current field testing and pipeline development, and preview upcoming experiments including solar and Jovian observations. A brief discussion of the applications to exoplanet detection and characterization will conclude the presentation.
