Tai Ji Men receiving warm welcome in State and visiting 3 mayors of Los Angeles

Tai Ji Men Cultural Goodwill Group is touring in the State. More than 400 Tai Ji Men dizi visited Los Angeles on 14th of September and received overwhelming welcome. On September 15th, the mayor of Arcadia, Walnut and Rosemead received representatives of the group about 20 people composed of tech experts, lawyers, doctors and youths. They share with the mayors their achievements of cultural exchanges and global endeavors of love and peace.

Tom Beck, mayor of Arcadia, received the group in City Hall and introducing to the group city administration. The group conducted the celebration of 50th anniversary of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy at 7:30pm Friday, September 16 in the Arcadia Performing Arts Center. The seats were fully occupied and ABC reports were broadcasting. Tom Beck presented a certificate of honor in celebration of the 50th anniversary and enjoyed the wonderful evening. Tai Ji Men dizi shared with the mayor the achievements of peace endeavors around the world. A day after 911 attack in New York, Tai Ji Men organized the ceremony of ringing the Bell of World Peace and Love to comfort the hearts of people. Even at the heightened risk of terrorist attack, Tai Ji Men still insisted going to Hawaii for cultural exchanges and bell-ringing ceremony as they have promised. Tom Beck was very happy and adored the love and peace works. He and Tai Ji Men representatives did the gesture of An Era of Conscience to spread love and peace together.

Eric Ching, Chinese American and the mayor of Walnut, was very happy to receive the group. The Los Angeles branch of Tai Ji Men is located in Walnut. Eric appreciates “the contributions you made in the community and the achievements of spreading love, harmony and solidarity around the world. I know you have made great contributions both in Walnut and around the world.” He presented a certificate of honor in celebration of Tai Ji Men 50 years and appreciated Tai Ji Men for the promotion of cultural exchanges and spreading of love and peace. Eric also unfolded the fan symbolizing spreading goodness.

Sandra Armenta, mayor of Rosemead, was looking forward to participating in the celebration. She said “Rosemead is a culturally-diverse city and is putting ideas of love and peace in the educational system. We have to let the children know that they have to love themselves. When they know how to love themselves, they can then spread the love to the world.”

The group presented certificate of appreciations in appreciation of the supports received from the city government. The mayors spoke highly of the cultural exchange program and the spirit of love and peace behind the performances. It is hoped Tai Ji Men will continue to deliver the energies of kindness and bring more love and peace to this nation of diverse ethnicities.
