In an extraordinary display of resilience, Alcaraz saved three match points—becoming the first player ever to do so en route to winning a Roland Garros final. He then defeated Sinner in the following game and captured the fourth set in a tense tiebreak. Riding that momentum, the Spanish star surged through the fifth set to win the French Open for the second consecutive year.
