Tai Ji Men to Present Spectacular Cultural Performances at Walnut’s Lunar New Year Celebration

 

 

(Feb. 5, 2024, Walnut) The City of Walnut is gearing up to usher in the Lunar New Year with a grand celebration at Suzanne Park on Saturday, February 17, from 1-4 p.m. A highlight of this festive event will be the enchanting cultural performances presented by the renowned Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy. The academy has been invited to showcase a wonderful lineup, including a celestial dragon dance, auspicious lion dance, divine drum performance, and silk umbrella dance.

At the heart of the performance is the magnificent celestial dragon, a masterpiece meticulously handcrafted by Tai Ji Men members under the expert guidance of their Shifu (master), Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze. Anticipated to radiate powerful positive energy, this symbolic dragon embodies good fortune in ancient Eastern culture, blessing the city of Walnut and beyond with wishes of peace and stability. The presentation promises to be a precious spiritual and cultural asset, revealing the depth of traditions preserved by Tai Ji Men.
