2022/08/11

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has urged citizens to stop wearing ties to work to save energy amid the ongoing heatwave. Speaking to reporters on July 29, Sanchez noted that he was not wearing a tie and said he hoped his ministers, public officials and private sector workers would do the same, the BBC reported. "This means we can all save energy," he added. Temperatures soared to 36 °C in Madrid and 39 °C in Seville that day.
