Rise Up, Generation Z!

 

Amidst the swift technological transformations, the path ahead remains ever more uncertain. In this landscape, how can the youth harness the influence of their generational uniqueness to become a catalyst for societal transformation? The Global People Daily News, an autonomous global news entity, has crafted an exclusive web series titled "Rise Up, Generation Z!." We extend a warm invitation to our youthful counterparts across the United States, Pakistan, and Taiwan, as well as the President of CAP, a prominent French human rights organization, to collectively illuminate their perspectives and aspirations regarding the burgeoning force of the new generation. 

 

Mitchell, a sophomore hailing from San Jose Drexel University, California. He firmly embraces the notion that thoughts wield the power to shape actions, consequently shaping our reality. Drawing from his personal journey in powerlifting, Mitchell delves into his triumphant breakthroughs, illustrating how a resolute mindset can fuel exceptional outcomes. His fervent message resonates as he urges everyone to cultivate robust thoughts, nurture a victorious outlook, and optimize their time investment. In Mitchell's belief, “this is how we will create great leaders and a productive society in the future.”.

 

Amna, a dedicated educator and researcher based in Pakistan, holds a deep-seated concern regarding the pivotal role of the youth in forging generational cohesion. By recounting the narrative of four generations within her own family, she compellingly underscores the potential for generations to transcend both age and culture. Through adept utilization of technology, Amna illustrates how these diverse generations can synergize efforts to shape a brighter collective future. The art of upholding time-honored traditions, imparting invaluable wisdom, and embracing novel proficiencies emerges as the cornerstone for effecting transformative change within families and communities alike. As Amna emphatically asserts, "there is a need to reframe our frame of references."

 

Clara Lan, a graphic designer from Taiwan, finds inspiration in the words of Maya Angelou, a black American writer and human rights activist, in her 1978 poem "Still I Rise." Clara underscores the persistent necessity for change in our contemporary world. She firmly believes in our capacity to shape our responses to life's trials, whether they emerge in moments of darkness or light. Even amidst missteps, Clara advocates for our ability to evolve and flourish. In the wake of the pandemic's aftermath, Clara promotes the embrace of nature, a life of simplicity, and the authenticity of self.

 

Thierry VALLE, President of the Coordination of Association and People for Freedom of Conscience, a French human rights organization committed to this cause for over three decades, holds a resolute conviction. He envisions young individuals as the vanguards of transformation, exemplified by the likes of Greta Thunberg, who wield their influence to safeguard our planet and its intrinsic human rights. Thierry aspires to witness the emergence of an empowered youth generation, one that actively engages in politics, participates in civil society, and champions the realization of universal human rights, access to sustenance, and equitable access to water. He envisions a united consensus on the planet's sustainability, working together to carve a path toward a more promising future.
