The Power of One Minute—Illuminate The World with Conscience

Natural and man-made disasters such as epidemics, wars, and extreme weather are occurring one after another now. The turbulent environment has put all of mankind to the test, and with you and me in the same boat, let's spread more blessings to the world.

In response to the international Day for Love and Peace on October 16, the independent international news media "The Power of One Minute - Illuminate the World with Conscience" online program was produced, inviting good friends from all over the world to share their deepest prayers in the hopes of uniting many positive and stable forces to keep the world safe from bad luck with conscientious and good deeds and to turn it into a paradise.

Massimo Introvigne, an Italian religious scientist and the editor-in-chief of the internationally renowned human rights magazine Bitter Winter, has written that "prayer" does not refer to a specific religious tradition and that atheists can use meditation and "prayer" to awaken their conscience, confess their faults, and turn their lives around.

At a time when the world is in crisis, H.E. Madam Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of the Lion Rock Republic, said that all the world needs are global solidarity, may God grant us that.

President H.E. Taneti Mamau of Kiribati believed that we must ensure that peace and love are endorsed everywhere.

The wish of Snezhana Ballagas, a Bulgarian elementary school educator, is that people would treat each other with more respect. Respect the work and efforts and feelings of others. Respect other people's choices, even if they are different from yours. More importantly, respect for yourself is the only way to respect others, and respect for others is the only way to be respected.

Titus Augustine Omaojo, the communication leader of the young Leaders Right and patriotic initiative of Nigeria (YOLPIN), expressed his prayers for the world in Igala. He said that conscience is the driving force behind the morals, norms, and values of all societies in the world. Let us awaken conscience, peace, and love in our hearts, reject war and selfishness, and oppose individualism, and the world will become a better place, a home for all, where war has no place and peace reigns supreme.

Rania Lampou, a global educator from Greece, says that God helps our conscience to serve our plan, and guides it so that it directs us to the right decisions and moral actions. Give our conscience strength to overcome the selfishness that silences and stifles its voice. Do not let it be influenced by the opinion of others or by goals of material prosperity. Help us to maintain our moral integrity every minute of the day and to have discernment and aptness in our choices.

Prayers of conscience from Taiwan, the United States, Nepal, India, Senegal, Haiti, the Netherlands, and many other countries are also featured in the program. As the German proverb goes, it is useless to curse the darkness when you are in it. Although lighting a single match will not dispel the darkness, if thousands of people light their matches, the darkness will eventually disappear and so will the fear of darkness.

GPDN sincerely invites everyone to respond to the "Words of Conscience Global Prayer" campaign by recording and uploading (e-mail: gpdn.news@gmail.com) a one-minute prayer of conscience followed by a one-minute video of silence. Pray for yourself, your family, and the world, and leave a new world filled with love and peace for future generations.
